Due to continuous national hardships with Covid-19, UNLV Hockey has officially announced the cancellation of it’s 2020-21 season. The health and well being of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and our entire fanbase is our top priority. As it stands today, the local government determined that a safe enough path for competition could not be found for Spring 2021.

While we respect this decision, our hearts hurt for out student-athletes and for their families, our staff and all who love the Rebel Hockey program. We look forward to working with the WCHL, UNLV and City National Arena to prepare to return to play in the Fall of 2021.

In the meantime, we will focus our energy on our resilient and exception student-athletes and support them in every way possible. Our goal is to prepare the program both financially and via recruitment to once again compete for a national championship in 2021-22.

Prior to the pandemic (March 2020) the UNLV Hockey program was set to compete in it’s fourth straight ACHA D1 National Championship tournament in Dallas, TX. In the final rankings of 2020 UNLV was ranked 17th nationally and had won seven of it’s last eight games, including a 6-3 victory at home over #2 Minot State University.
