UNLV Hockey is proud to announce the third installment of our Coach’s Corner series with Head Coach, Greg Powers of Arizona State University (NCAA D1). The LIVE Q and A session will take place via Zoom on Monday, April 27th at 10:30am (PST) and run for approx. 1 hour. As always it will be completely FREE to all interested coaches. Greg’s vision and determination has lead the ASU program from an average ACHA team to a consistently ranked NCAA D1 program with National Championship aspirations. Coach Powers enters his 13th overall season on the Sun Devil Coaching Staff and his sixth as head coach of ASU’s NCAA Division I Hockey program. He was a finalist for the 2019 Spencer Penrose Award, which is awarded to the Division I Coach of the Year. Following a historical and program-best season in 2018-19, coach Powers, his staff and the team set a new record for wins in a season during the 2019-20 campaign with 22 and upsets of No. 4 Denver, No. 8 Clarkson and No. 9 Quinnipiac. The program reached all-time highs in all three rankings — including No. 9 in the USCHO and USA Hockey/USA Today polls — and finished 13th in the Pairwise. Down the stretch, the team won 11 of their final 14 games to put themselves in a position to all but seal their second NCAA Tournament appearance.

We will be maxing this out to the first 30 coaches to sign up. To register please email UNLV Assistant Coach Nick Robone at nrobone@rebelhockey.com
