Defenseman Sean Plonski has committed to play for the Skatin’ Rebels for the upcoming season.

Plonski comes to UNLV from the Walpole Express (EHL Premier) where he served a stay-at-home defenseman role, notching 5 points in 35 games (3G, 2A). Prior to the Express, he spent two seasons with the Ontario Avalanche where he accumulated 6 goals and 13 assists in 75 regular season games in that span.

“This season I want to commit more to the offense,” he said.

Plonski plans on pursuing either Hotel or Business Management at UNLV, and made the decision to commit because of the campus and the hockey facilities. He looks forward to playing at a high level this upcoming season and better himself as a hockey player.

“I’m excited to get with the team. I know a couple of the boys from previous seasons and I look forward to meeting my other teammates,” he said. “I think it’s exciting to see the Las Vegas hockey culture grow each year and I think an NCAA D1 team would be a great step in the right direction.”
