Joseph Kaszupski, a forward from Henderson, NV, has committed to join the Skatin’ Rebels for the upcoming season.

Kaszupski most recently played for Endicott College (NCAA D3). Prior to that, he played junior hockey in the NAHL for both the Wenatchee Wild and Kenai River Brown Bears. He considers himself a two-way forward with the ability to score in the offensive zone and still willing to defend.

“I’m extremely excited to be playing out of the new facility,” he said. “Growing up in Vegas we haven’t had too many rinks and this is an amazing addition for a growing city.”

Kaszupski, continuing his political science degree, is looking forward to not only return to his hometown, but to return to the ice.

“Playing hockey in my favorite city while being at home is a hard opportunity to turn down and I’m excited to get things going,” he said. “I’m just looking forward to play. Injuries have kept me out for some time so I’m just excited to get back into it.”

He sees the organization’s high aspirations as a plus as well.

“It’s definitely something special and something to take pride in as UNLV continues to grow the program.”
